Lipo Lab FAQ
What is Lipo Lab?
Non-Surgical Fat Dissolver: It's an injectable solution, often containing Phosphatidylcholine (PPC) and Deoxycholate (DC), designed to dissolve and destroy fat cells in targeted areas.
Mechanism: The solution is injected into the fatty tissue, where the ingredients work together to break down the fat cell walls. The destroyed fat cells are then naturally eliminated by the body over several weeks.
Non-Invasive Alternative: It is a non-surgical option for body contouring, unlike traditional liposuction.
Which areas can be treated?
Lipo Lab is used to target stubborn, localized fat deposits that are often resistant to diet and exercise. Common treatment areas include:
Face: Double chin, jowls.
Body: Abdomen, "love handles" (flanks), back rolls, thighs, buttocks, and arms.
When will I see results and how long do they last?
Initial Results: Some patients may begin to see visible changes within 3 to 5 days, but results are typically most visible within 2 to 4 weeks after treatment.
Full Results: Full results are often observed 6 to 8 weeks following the session.
Longevity: The results are considered long-lasting because the fat cells are destroyed. However, maintaining a stable weight through a healthy diet and consistent exercise is crucial to prevent the remaining fat cells from enlarging.
How many sessions are needed?
Individual Variation: The required number of sessions depends on the individual's body, the size of the fat deposit, and the area being treated.
Typical Range: Generally, 1 to 3 treatments are required for optimal results.
Session Spacing: Treatments are typically spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart to allow the body time to process and eliminate the dissolved fat.
What are the side effects and downtime?
Minimal Downtime: One of the main benefits is that it's non-surgical, meaning there's typically no significant downtime. You can usually resume daily activities immediately.
Common Side Effects: Side effects are usually mild and temporary, lasting a few days:
Swelling (can last from a few days up to 2-6 weeks).
Redness or bruising at the injection site.
Tenderness or discomfort.
Itching or a warm/tight sensation.
Less common: temporary nausea, headache, or lightheadedness.
Aftercare Tips:
Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area for at least 24 hours.
Avoid strenuous exercise and excessive heat (saunas, sunbeds) for 24-48 hours.
Stay well-hydrated (drinking plenty of water is vital to help flush out the dissolved fat).
Who should NOT get this treatment?
The treatment is generally not suitable for people who are:
Pregnant or breastfeeding.
Allergic to any of the ingredients (e.g., soy or other components in the solution).
Soy Allergy: The most critical allergy concern is related to Phosphatidylcholine (PPC). PPC is frequently derived from soybeans.
A known allergy to soy is a major contraindication, as it can lead to severe allergic reactions (e.g., hives, anaphylaxis) following the injection.
Lidocaine: Some formulations of fat-dissolving products may contain Lidocaine (a local anesthetic) to minimize pain.
Allergy to Lidocaine or other anesthetics would also make the treatment unsafe.
Experiencing an active infection or injury in the treatment area.
Those with certain serious medical conditions i.e: (see below)
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Due to unknown risks to the baby.
Active Cancer: Or cancer within a recent period (e.g., one year of remission).
Severe Liver or Kidney Disease: The liver and kidneys are responsible for processing and eliminating the destroyed fat and solution, so impairment can be dangerous.
Active Infections/Wounds: Any active infection or injury at or near the injection site.
Autoimmune Diseases: Such as Lupus (in some reports), due to the inflammatory nature of the treatment.
Uncontrolled Chronic Conditions: Including:
Uncontrolled Diabetes (especially if insulin-dependent).
Bleeding Disorders or being on blood-thinning medications (like Aspirin, NSAIDs) which increase the risk of bleeding and bruising.
Severe Cardiovascular Disease, recent heart attack, or stroke.
Pacemakers: Or other implanted electronic devices.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
